Tons of Hulk Info From SDCC

The annual San Diego Comic Con was this weekend and there was a ton of Hulk related information release

-->A new "Incredible Hulk" series on its way from Jason Aaron and Marc Silverstri which starts in October. After showing a trailer, a special video message from Aaron was shown where the writer explained his first arc would be called "Hulk Assunder" where the personalities of Bruce Banner and the Hulk will be at war in a very external way and "explode out into the Marvel Universe." Singh described the book as "very visceral and in your face."

-->Matt Fraction's new "Defenders" series which has been teased in typographically ambitious images all week found its official announcement as Terry Dodson joins his former "Uncanny X-Men" partner on the book. Singh declared that the characters seen in the teasers – Red She-Hulk, Doctor Strange, Silver Surfer and Iron Fist – were not the only team members coming to the title. "What Matt has built here is a book about the nature of heroism," Wacker said, saying the Defenders are tasked at taking on all the big threats from mystical threats to medical ones. "There's something about these characters, whether they're confronted by fury or evil, continue to put one foot in front of the other...and if you can put one foot in front of the other, you can live forever." The panel promised that the cast would show why Defenders is a unique and special team in the Marvel U with their own reason for taking on a mission.

"The Hulk needs a favor and he goes to people he feels owe him. That happens to be the some of the people you and I know as the Defenders. It's not necessarily a pleasant reunion. It's not a comfortable one. There are a lot of grudges because of some recent history, but the awkward truth of it all is Hulk needs help, which is never an easy thing to ask for especially if you're him," Fraction told CBR News. "Red She-Hulk quickly comes along. So does, for reasons to be revealed, Iron Fist."

-->There was a lot of talk on the Avengers movie coming out next year and Marvel slowly released teaser posters. The Hulk was the last and the best one shown.

-->There was some mention of the upcoming Incredible Hulk tv show: "We'll be focusing on the love story between Bruce Banner and Betty Ross, how the two are brought together and continuously torn apart by the monster within," Loeb says."

"Loeb says all of the Marvel shows, like the comics, will be set in the real world: with the noteworthy change that there are people with superpowers."

-->Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H: Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb was wowing the crowd today with new announcements on both the live-action and animated front. Case in point: The Hulk is getting a new animated series. A team show! It will be called Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Little was revealed about the series aside from the title, the team roster (Green Hulk, Red Hulk, She-Hulk and A-Bomb) and it will be on the Disney channel.

-->Some Hulk toy news. There will be a new Marvel Universe Hulk figure which looks great and there will also be a Hulk figure in an Avengers Lego toy set and the Hulk figure is HUGE compared to the other figures! Finally an official Hulk Lego!
