Crackajack Jackson

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Crackajack is a homeless bum wandering the countryside without any real skills or powers but he was the first to show the Hulk how to spell his own name.

The Incredible Hulk #182: The Hulk is wandering through the woods and hears music. He finds a bum sitting in front of a fire playing the harmonica. The bum turns around and introduces himself as Crackajack Jackson and offers the Hulk a chance to try the harmonica. The Hulk turns to go away but Crackajack offers him company by the fire and food. The Hulk eats a big plate of beans. The following morning, when Crackajack wakes up, he finds the Hulk just sitting there waiting for more beans. Instead, Crackajack takes him to a nearby pond and they try their hand at fishing. Crackajack tells the Hulk that he is going to see his son and the Hulk is welcome to go with him. The Hulk says he has nothing else to do so he agrees to go with him. Later that night, Crackajack tries to teach the Hulk to eat with a fork but the Hulk ends up eating the fork also. Crackajack then teachs the Hulk to spell his own name and tells the Hulk that he is his friend. Later, Crackajack tries to go through a police blockade at a road so that he can get to the prison to see his son. The police tell him there is trouble at the prison and the whole area is cordoned off. The Hulk, seeing that his friend is not getting through, comes out and knocks out the troopers and they walk on towards the prison. They reach the prison and the Hulk grabs Crackajack and jumps him over the wall. They land in the prison and Crackajack sees his son tearing up the prison as a member of Hammer and Anvil. He tells his son that it's good to see him. Leroy says that it's too late, he was never around when he needed him as a child and that he doesn't want to wind up like him. Crackajack feels bad and goes up to touch his son. He accidently touches the alien chain connecting Hammer and Anvil and the electric shock kills him. The Hulk, seeing his friend hurt, attacks Hammer and Anvil and defeats them. He takes Crackajack's body and leaps away and burys him in the ground. The Hulk uses his finger to write Crackajack's name on a tombstone.
