Known Relatives:Janis is the grand-daughter of Rick and Marlo Jones.

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Janis is in athlete-level shape and knows multiple fighting and attack techniques from her life in Dystopia. She carries a quarterstaff which can fire concussive blasts from the ends. The staff is set so that it only works when Janis is holding it.

Connection to Bruce Banner/Hulk: Janis Jones, the granddaugher of Rick and Marlo Jones, was born in the late 21st century. To help bring down a tyrant, the Maestro who was actually the Hulk, who was ruling her city, she went back in time to the late 20th century to get help from that times Hulk. When she went back in time, she actually went to an alternate universe.

GREAT MOMENTS IN HISTORY

The Incredible Hulk #415:Janis and Pizfiz interrupt Ricks shower. Rick comes to the door and is about to shut it when Janis blasts the door latch. They come in and Janis tells Rick she has a message for him. Rick says they have five seconds to get out and they start to fight.

Future Imperfect #1: Janis, Pizfiz, and two other rebels are walking through the city of Dystopia when the Gravity Police spot them and shot one in the head. They also manage to shot Pizfiz in the leg. Janis and the other rebel go down an alley and are followed by the Gravity Police when the Hulk drops a building on the police. The Hulk fights more Gravity Police and a Dog 'O War. He defeats them and Janis lead the Hulk to a secret entrance to their rebel base. She leads the Hulk to the base, showing him all the poor people holed up there. The Hulk demands to know what the reason was that he was brought into the future. Janis starts a machine which shows images of the Hulk from times past taken from a person's mind. She then takes him to see the very old Rick Jones. Meanwhile, the captures Pizfiz is hooked up to a machine that reads minds and the Maestro sees when Pizfiz and Janis used Doctor Doom's timemachine to go back in time and contact Rick Jones. The old Rick explains to the Hulk about a war which killed most of the superheroes and how the Maestro character built a city out of the ruins. The Hulk asks who this Maestro is but he already knows. Suddenly the Maestro starts to invade the hidden base. Janis helps evacuate everybody and sets the traps for the police.

Future Imperfect #2: Janis and the rebels go back to the base and steal weapons from the dead soldiers. Janis and the rebels spy on the Maestro as he leads the captured Hulk around. That night, they dig into the Maestro's building and try to help the Hulk escape. The Maestro was expecting it and stages an ambush. The Hulk and Maestro duke it out as Janis fights the soldiers and helps free people. The Hulk defeats the Maestro.

The Abominations #1: Janis helps rebels go back in time along with a woman rumored to be carrying the Maestro's baby and escape the demented future Abomination. She is captured by the Abomination in the process.

The Abominations #2: The Abomination asks Janis where the woman carrying the Maestro's baby is. She doesn't answer so the Abomination has one of his mutants probe her brain to find out, which is a painful process. The mutant doesn't want to hurt Janis so he lets her go and tells her to never come back. Later, the Abomination hires the mutant-bounty hunter Quarry to track down Janis and kill her.

The Abominations #3: Quarry tracks Janis through the city sewers but she manages to make it to Doom's time machine and jumps in to go back in time to get help from the Hulk but Quarry jumps in right behind her. The Abomination blows the time machine up later.

The Incredible Hulk #443: Janis comes flying out of the sky after transporting back in time and lands in a lake. She pulls out a device and starts to track down where the Hulk is. During her walk through the forest, a moose comes running out and Janis instinctively shoots it with her quarterstaff. Meanwhile, Quarry comes flying in from the time machine also. Janis, overcome by smoke from a forest fire, enters a bar holding trappers, and collapses. The woman who really set the forest fire blames Janis, so the trappers tie her up. The trappers ask her why she set the fire but she has no idea what they are talking about. She tells them she is from the future and is trying to find the Hulk. Just then, Quarry comes in and says he wants Janis. The trappers attack but Quarry easily kills them. Janis gets untied and runs out of the bar. Quarry fires a blast which Janis dodges and manages to hit the Hulk. The Hulk, kinda mad at this point, fights Quarry and manages to defeat him. Janis asks the Hulk for help but he says no. She asks if she can come with him and he says he doesn't care. She grabs onto his back and he leaps off.

The Incredible Hulk #444: Janis wakes up from a fever after having past images go through her mind. The fever, due to the time travel and landing in cold water, force her to hallucinate and see the Hulk. Previously, the Hulk brought her to a Pantheon safehouse to recover. Onslaught takes control of the Hulks mind and sends him to kill Cable but Janis is to weak to stop him. Later, Ajax of the Pantheon stumbles upon her.

The Incredible Hulk #445: Janis wakes up and Atlanta, of the Pantheon, tells her that they found her with a fever and dehydrated so they put in an I.V. Janis asks who the guy was who found her. Atlanta explains that with what is happening in New York with Onslaught, the Pantheon is making a presence in the U.S. to see if they are needed. Janis tells her her name but won't tell Atlanta who brought her there.

The Incredible Hulk #446: Janis fights her way out of the safehouse past the Pantheon members and escapes out an airshaft. She hitches a ride in a van with some hippies along with the Wild Man.

The Incredible Hulk #447: Janis is seen in the crowd of people gathered to look at the Hulk encased in lead. She hears Betty's name mentioned and recognizes it from an urn from her future. She sees a soldier come near to where the Hulk is and sees part of the soldier's arm disintegrate. When the Hulk breaks out, she knocks Jason over to shot him from firing at the Hulk. A helicopter comes in firing and Janis fires her quarterstaff at the blades and forces it down. She jumps on the Hulk's back and they jump away.

The Incredible Hulk #448: The Hulk and Janis stop for a rest. The Hulk asks why she is there with him. She explains that he helped her get rid of the Maestro before and now she needs help getting rid of another tyrant. She asks if he will help, but he doesn't give an answer. She figures that the time machine she used was destroyed so until she can figure out how to get back, she will stay with the Hulk and help him out. The Hulk and Janis sitting around a campfire and Janis says she has some ideas on how the Hulk can guarentee everyone leaves him alone. The Pantheon tracks them down and attacks the Hulk and Janis helps fight against them. The Pantheon trick the government into thinking the Hulk is dead and then offer the Hulk to come back and work with them and that they will help him keep a low profile. The Hulk and Janis break out of the ship and go to a local military base. She tells the soldiers that from now on, if they attack the Hulk, he will launch a counter-attack and make sure everyone knows who provoked him. So leave him alone.

The Incredible Hulk #449: Janis is holding on to the back of the Hulk as they jump through the Arizona landscape when a rocket comes out of nowhere and hits them. Janis falls to ground and readies to save herself when Mach-1 from the Thunderbolts, who shot the rocket, races in to save her. He catches her but she turns around and shoots him wiht her quarterstaff. She lands safely and sees Mach-1 flying off to join his teammates in capturing the Hulk. Janis races after him. The Hulk goes up against all the Thunderbolts and Janis comes to help. The Hulk breaks a hole in a dam to distract the Thunderbolts as he and Janis get away. They watch from afar and then the Hulk collapses, from being hurt from the battle.

The Incredible Hulk #450: Janis is with the Hulk as he destroys the Hollywood sign as payback for the Thunderbolts attacking him. She mentions that fact that he collapses but he says he didn't. He tells her he wants more. Just then, an attack helicopter comes and fires. The Hulk easily defeats the helicopter and makes his way to Universal Studios with Janis in tow. As they are walking through, the Hulk stumbles, clutching his chest. Janis asks him if he feels weak. He says he feels more powerful then ever but has intense pain. Suddenly, the Wildman shows up. Janis fires her quarterstaff at him but he survives and knocks her out. The Hulk disappears from the battle and the Wildman is cured of his powers and problems. Janis wakes up to see a different Hulk in front of her.

The Incredible Hulk #451: Janis is seen hiding outside the room Rick and Marlo Jones are staying in.

The Incredible Hulk #452: Janis shows up at Rick and Marlo's house with the future Hulk in tow. Later, Janis shows up at the island the Hulk had recently taken over and tells him that he has to go. That this is not the way it should go. The Hulk says that he plans to stay but then the future Hulk appears.

The Incredible Hulk #453: Janis tells the Hulk that he needs to listen to the alternative-universe Hulk because he knows what is coming in the future. Instead of listening, the Hulk fights the alternative-universe Hulk. The bum that the Hulk made sheriff on Duck Island picks a fight with Janis. She easily overpowers him and asks him what his problem is. He says he was meant to be a super-villian. She just laughs and knocks him out when he tries to hit her with a rock. Later, she stands next to the alternative-universe Hulk while the true Hulk seems to be seeing things. The alternative-universe Hulk explains how he is from an alternative universe where he went to help Janis in the future but all the rebels were killed and he ended up killing the Maestro and just replaced him. He tried to get home but was drawn to this world instead and he decided to try to warn this world's Hulk. She helps get people away as the two Hulks fight again.

The Incredible Hulk #455: Janis is waiting on a corner in Orlando, Florida when two passing police officers recognize her as being involved with the Hulk on Duck Island. She tells them she is waiting for somebody but they want her to come with them. Rick Jones comes around the corner to pick her up and fights two unconscious police officers.

The Incredible Hulk #456: Rick is driving Janis through New Orleans, Louisiana when they are attacked by the Absorbing Man. Janis shots the Absorbing Man with her quarterstaff but he just absorbs the power and grabs the staff out of her hand. He tells them he is there to do them a favor. He tells them that the Hulk is getting involved with Apocalypse and that Apocalypse is messing with the Hulk's head. The Absorbing Man and his friends figure if anyone can get through to the Hulk, it would be Rick Jones. Rick and Janis fly on a plane with the Absorbing Man when Janis asks why they are going with him. Rick says that the two of them could not have defeated the Absorbing Man and says he can tell something has shaken the Absorbing Man and he wants to see what it is. Rick and Janis travel with the Absorbing Man in a jeep through Egypt talking about Apocalypse when the warped Hulk tries to throw a pyramid on them. Janis knocks Rick out of the way before the Hulk can hit him with a whip. The Hulk then breaks up the Absorbing Man and turns to face Rick and Janis when the Juggernaut.html">Juggernaut joins in.

The Incredible Hulk #457: Janis helps Rick put together the pieces of the Absorbing Man who comes back to life. He grabs Janis's quarterstaff, absorbing it's power, and flys off, holding Rick and Janis. They reach the battlesite of the Hulk and Juggernautand Janis helps keep the bystanders safe. When the Hulk tries to kill the Absorbing Man, Janis shoots the Hulk with the quarterstaff to distract him. Rick goes over to talk to the Hulk and the Hulk hits him, sending Rick into a wall. Janis runs over to Rick and screams at the Hulk to look what he did. The Hulk snaps out of his brainwashing and leaps away, angry at what he just did.

The Incredible Hulk #458: Janis hides in the ventilation system of the hospital to see how Rick is doing. She hears the doctor say that Rick may never walk again. Janis thinks about how in her time, Rick never talked about he was crippled.

Captain Marvel Vol 3 #30: Janis is seen in the back trying to help innocent people caught in the battle between the Maestro and Captain Marvel and Spider-Man 2099.
