GREAT MOMENTS IN HISTORY
The Incredible Hulk #172: After the Hulk is captured, the
military attempts to use an experimental space-time warp transporter
to transport the Hulk to another dimension where he can never do
damage again to earth. They turn on the transporter and manage to
get transport the Hulk away but at the same time, it allows the
Juggernaut to make his way back to earth. The Juggernaut starts
hitting at the walls of the cell the Hulk was in to break out. The
military tries to use the transporter again but it has feedback
and causes the Hulk to reappear. The Juggernaut recognizes the Hulk
and says that they should escape together. The Hulk doesn't know
who the Juggernaut is so the Juggernaut recounts his origin and
what has happened to him recently. The Hulk still doesn't trust
the Juggernaut but will help him until they are at least free. The
two fight and defeat the army and the Hulk leaps away atop a small
mountain. He sees the Juggernaut cause a family to drive off the
road and threaten them. The Hulk jumps down and tells the Juggernaut
he is wrong to try to hurt innocent people. The two start to fight
and knock each other around quite a bit. When the Juggernaut is
on the Hulk's back and trying to break his neck, the Hulk reaches
up and grabs the Juggernaut by his helmet. The Hulk spins him around
until the helmet comes loose and the Juggernaut flies into a mountain.
The Hulk, thinking the fight is over, starts to walk away. The Juggernaut
recovers from his fall and is about to go attack the Hulk again
when the X-Men show up and easily defeat him since his helmet is
off.
The Incredible Hulk #402: The Hulk goes to the Amazon to
check on a developer who is razing large acres of forest. While
there, he gets into a fight with who he thinks is just a construction
worker but it is actually the Juggernaut witout his armor. The Hulk
is surprised when the construction worker hits him and he flies
backwards into the forest. The Hulk braces himself as the Juggernaut
runs at him, thinking tht this worker wouldn't be able to move him
but they hit fly over a waterfall. The Hulk pops out of the water
and the Juggernaut comes up behind him and pulls him back under
the water. The Juggernaut holds the Hulk underwater and the Hulk
is forced to grab a fist full of dirt and throw it into the Juggernaut's
face. The Hulk keeps asking him who he is but the Juggernaut never
says directly. When the Juggernaut lunges for him, the Hulk leaps
and the Juggernaut lands in quicksand. The Hulk tries to give the
Juggernaut a hand but Juggy tries to drag him in too so the Hulk
lets go and the Juggernaut sinks. Thinking he's gone, the Hulk stands
over the quicksand and the Juggernaut comes busting out and catches
the Hulk by surprise. The Juggernaut keeps pounding on the Hulk,
never letting him recover, until he knocks him out.
The Incredible Hulk #403: The Hulk is in restraints infront
of the Red Skull and the Juggernaut, now in his armor. The Juggernaut
boosts that all it took was to wear street clothes to beat the Hulk.
The Hulk taunts the Juggernaut that he had to trick him to beat
him. The Juggernaut gets mad and starts to go towards the Hulk but
the Red Skull stops him from doing anything that would release the
Hulk. The Juggernaut stands back and watches as the Red Skull and
Mentallo try to take over the Hulk's mind. He walks down a hall
later on, complaining that with the Juggernaut around, you don't
need a mind-controlled Hulk. He walks by a door labeled Project
Piecemeal when a claw comes through the door and the Juggernaut
automatically punches the creature out. He tells the scientist to
keep that thing sedated and walks on. The Avengers come to investigate
the forest when the Juggernaut runs through them. The Vision starts
to knock the Juggernaut unconscious with his phasing powers when
a mind-controlled Hulk stops him and the Juggernaut orders him to
destroy the Avengers.
The Incredible Hulk #404: The Hulk slaps his hands together
and creates a shock wave that blows the Avengers back. The Juggernaut
is just about to go into them more when the Red Skull radios him
and tells him to give the Avengers an option to surrender and leave.
The Juggernaut, against his better judgement, gives the Avengers
the option but when they refuse, the Juggernaut orders the Hulk
on them. The Hulk, in his mind, sees the Juggernaut as his father
and the Avengers as different ages of Bruce Banner. They continue
to fight the Avengers as a team until the Juggernaut tells the Hulk
he is dong a great job. That praise jolts the Hulk's mind for a
second. Then some of the remaining Avengers attack again and knock
the Hulk down for a second. The Juggernaut gives his hand out to
the Hulk and says that nothing can stop them if they stick together.
The Hulk, his mind going back to when his father killed his mother,
starts to crack a little bit. The Juggernaut just grabs the Hulk
and throws him towards the Avengers. The Hulk, about to kill Crystal,
hears the Juggernaut saying that he is the best. The Hulk, who is
still seeing the Juggernaut as his father, finally cracks. The Hulk
says that all those years, all he wanted was a little praise but
all he gave was anger and being browbeat and now after all that
time, he decides to give him praise. He punches the Juggernaut and
hits his helmet off. The Hulk slowly starts to come out of it and
knows that the Juggernaut is not his father and hits him. He screams
to get out of his head. Mentallo tries to regain control but the
Hulk rejects it and causes a massive psychic backlash that knocks
everybody out, including the Juggernaut. The Avengers take the Juggernaut
into custody.
The Incredible Hulk #456: The Juggernaut is seen sitting
at a desk with the New World Order as the
Absorbing Man reports in as to his status. Later, the Hulk as
controlled by Apocalypse, breaks apart the
Absorbing Man and Rick Jones gets a little worried until the
Juggernaut comes charging in.
The Incredible Hulk #457: The Juggernaut comes crashing
down at the Hulk, dressed as War under Apocalypse's control, and
hits him and keeps pushing him backwards. Until the Hulk manages
to stop the Juggernaut from pushing him any further, then a coil
from the Hulk's armor snakes out and wraps around the Juggernaut's
leg. The Hulk throws him around and then sends him flying away.
The Juggernaut lands in a mosque and as the Hulk comes leaping down
onto him, the Juggernaut hits him and sends him flying across the
street. The Juggernaut and Hulk continue to fight until the Hulk
finally beats the Juggernaut down. The Hulk takes his sword and
flips the Juggernaut's helmet off. He's about to behead the Juggernaut
when the Absorbing Man comes
crashing down on him. After the Hulk accidently sends Rick Jones
flying into a brick wall and leaps away from the pain, the Juggernaut
grabs his helmet. He and the Absorbing
Man take the Hulk's sword which he left behind and agree to
take Rick Jones and Janis to a hospital
and then take the sword back to the New World Order.
