First Appearance:The Incredible Hulk #286

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Bruce Banner created the recordasphere with visual and audio recording capability along with emotions and independent thought. It developed a laser weapon by itself also. It had anti-gravity device and a propulsion unit for mobility.

The Incredible Hulk #286: Bruce sits at his Gammascopr, telling the Recordasphere how he had built it to record his daily research but also for company. When a gamma surge sends Bruce off the scope and falling, the Recordasphere reminds him that he can change to the Hulk at will to save himself. After the Hulk gets up, they see a soldier standing by the Gammascope who starts to fire at them. The Hulk tells the Recordasphere to get behind him. The Hulk grabs the soldier who suddenly looses consciousness. He reverts back to his human form and Bruce and the Recordasphere watch over the soldier who suddenly wakes up and goes running for his gun. At the same time that a gamma lightning bolt hits the soldier, he fires his gamma powered weapon at Bruce and the Recordasphere and suddenly all three are thrust into the future. As Bruce and the Recordasphere try to figure out where they are, the Recordasphere warns Bruce that other soldiers are coming, with weapons drawn. The original soldier hides as the Hulk battles the other soldiers and is eventually captured. After everyone has left, the soldier comes out and the Recordasphere comes up behind him and wonders why they call him a hero. The Recordasphere follows the soldier and he helps the Hulk escape. The other soldiers kill him and the Hulk and Recordasphere are returned to their own time.

The Incredible Hulk #287: The Recordasphere watches as the Hulk burys the soldier who died in issue #286. When they walk back to Bruce's lab, the Recordasphere introduces Bruce to his new assistant Kate Waynesboro. Bruce changes to the Hulk infront of Kate, who is taken by surprise. Bruce then introduces the Recordasphere and says that he invented her as a companion but now she was there as company also. Bruce and Kate walk off together while the Recordasphere stays behind and almost seems to emit an angry muttering sound. Later, the Recordasphere catches Kate tells Bruce that she is there to help him. The Recordasphere takes off, jealous because Bruce had made her for a companion and now this Kate woman showed up. Not completely trusting Kate, the Recordasphere breaks into her room and finds out that she is really there as a spy for SHIELD. The Recordasphere takes back off to tell Bruce and save him. When he gets back to the lab where Bruce and Kate are, Kate says something about gamma radiation turning men into monsters, offending Bruce. The Recordasphere sees that Kate slipped and offends Bruce and so decides to wait to reveal to Bruce that Kate is a spy.

The Incredible Hulk #288: The Recordasphere waits with Kate in the dentist's waiting room as Bruce gets his teeth checked out. As they leave the office, Kate whispers something to the dentist, who is really a SHIELD agent, and the Recordasphere overhears it. During the drive back to the lab, Kate starts to flirt with Bruce. The Recordasphere gets extremely jealous since she is in love with Bruce so she sends an invisible electronic beam at the steering wheel causing Kate to loose control and go over the cliff. The Recordasphere shoots out of the car and yells for Bruce to turn into the Hulk and save himself. Bruce doesn't change but rather waits til the car has come to a stop down the hill and changes into the Hulk, saving himself and Kate. Kate is injured, so Bruce immediately starts to jump back to the lab to help her, leaving the Recordasphere behind. The Recordasphere follows behind.

The Incredible Hulk #289: The Recordasphere watches over Bruce, who has fallen asleep while doing research and stops Kate from waking him up. The Recordasphere confronts Kate and lets her know that she knows Kate is a SHIELD agent. A lens opens up and Kate is surprised to see a laser. The Recordasphere admits she has exceeded her programming the better to protect Bruce. Kate admits that she is from SHIELD but she is only there to make sure that Bruce can keep controling his transformations. The Recordasphere tells Kate that she will not let anybody hurt Bruce because she loves him, which totally catches Kate offguard. Suddenly, the Abomination bursts through the wall, looking for the Hulk. The Recordasphere immediately steps up to protect Bruce and starts firing a laser at the Abomination. Bruce can't believe when he sees that the Recordasphere has reprogrammed herself to be able to attack. The Recordasphere hits the Abomination with a number of good shots but eventually the Abomination makes contact and the broken Recordasphere lands at Bruces feet, destroyed and never had a chance to tell Bruce her true feelings.
