The Brood uses handmade puppets to tell some of the children the story of the Hulk coming to the planet and his story while there. The Hulk watches until Caiera comes and tells the Hulk it is time to move on, the Imperial forces are driving the Spikes towards them. Miek asks to stay a little longer to let the lasting remaining Queen to heal from her wounds. Caiera says if they stay, they will burn them where they stand to prevent the Spikes from turning them into more Spikes. Suddenly, the Imperial forces close in, forcing the Spikes forward towards the Hulk and rebels. Caiera steps forward and tells the soldiers that the Spikes are their real enemies but the soldiers don't listen and just drive the Spikes on further. The Hulk smashes the ground multiple times until the crust cracks, releasing lava into the path of the Spikes, burning them while the Hulk surfs past them on a rock. While the Spikes are burning, the Imperials start to attack the rebels. The Hulk gets on a hover vehicle with Caiera and Korg but the vehicle is hit by one of the Imperial soldiers and they all fall out, down towards the lava. The Hulk saves Caiera by landing in the lava first and catching her. Suddenly a Mawkaw Magkong, also known as a lava monster, comes out of the lava and actually pushes the Hulk and Caiera into the sky, out of their territory.

Shortly thereafter, the Hulk and rebels are a distance away. One of the rebels notifys the Hulk that three more Spikes ships have landed and the Imperial soldiers are driving the Spikes towards them through villages to build the army. Elloe wonders why they don't just drop bombs directly on them but Caiera says that the Red King knows that bombs won't stop the Hulk. The Hulk figures enough is enough and decides to go to the Red King and end the whole situation but before he can do that, the bug Queen starts to scream and says the Spikes infection was too deep and then converts completely to a Spike monster. The Hulk hits her with a club but Miek pushes the Hulk aside and tells him not to kill her. Instead Miek grabs a flame-thrower and kills the former Queen himself.

Hiroim tells Caiera it is time to go see their fellow Shadow People but since they are oath-breakers, Caiera does not think their people will see them. Hiroim says they will because of the Hulk and the legends. The Hulk says he does not need their help but Hiroim informs the Hulk that he can not do it alone. One of Miek's brothers mumbles that the Hulk is not the Sakaarson, but rather Miek. He tells Hiroim and everyone that Miek is the true savior from the legends. Miek stands up and says that he is not the Worldbreaker but says that after all the killing, it is time to take the battle back to the "pinkies." Korg asks that the small ones stay behind but they say that they will stay with Miek and fight. Korg tells the Hulk that they have already failed, all the young hivelings are only filled with hate. He asks the Hulk to bring them hope.

They continue walking across the desert when Hiriom notices a sandstorm is coming and tells everyone to get under tarps. Hiroim tells of his youth, when he was raised to be a priest. He read the stories of the coming of the Sakaarson and even thought it might be him. He kept his body pure and did everything he was supposed to be and when the day came for his initiation, he went through the ceremony and stood before his master. Hiroim's master looked into his eyes and knew that he thought he might be the Sakaarson and Hiroim knocked his master to the ground, earning the name Hiroim the Shamed. He brings the Hulk to where his people are so that the Hulk may fulfill the destiny. The Hulk steps out from underneath the tent and sees monsters in front of him coming out of the sand along with some of Hiroim's people standing behind them.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, SHIELD agents are reviewing footage of the Hulk saving Amadeus Cho, the kid who won the Mastermind Excello contest and 7th smartest person in the world. After winning the contest, his parents were killed and a black-ops team tried to capture him which is when the Hulk saved him. The SHIELD agent says that they need to get Amadeus since he has some type of power to process data and needs to register under the new act. Suddenly he gets a call and it's Amadeus telling him he hopes they packed their parachutes. He clicks his walkman and sends a noice through the phone, causing the SHIELD copter to lose power and all the agents to have to jump out.

Two weeks later, he is in New Mexico, following the Hulk by his impact points in the ground. He comes to a small pond and dives under into an underwater cave. At the Baxter Building, Reed Richards is examing the Thor clone when the phone rings, much to his surprise. He picks up the phone and asks who it is. The person on the other side of the phone replies that it is Doctor Banner. Reed replies that based on the voices timbre and accent, it is not Bruce and that the person has given away their location. Amadeus tells Reed that Bruce has encrypted the line and that Reed won't be able to crack it. When Reed says that he has never tried, Amadeus says that it doesn't matter because he is already done at which point Reed tries to lock down the systems. Amadeus explains that Bruce figured out the hack a long time ago and he just needed a voice imprint to get into the system. Reed shuts everything down but Amadeus says he has already has the information he wanted. Amadeus brings up the video file that the Hulk heard when he was tricked in space while at the same time, Reed figures out who is on the other side of the line and asks why he is interested in the Hulk. Cho says that the Hulk is a friend and friends don't shot friends into outer space. Cho says that when the Hulk comes back but Reed quickly replies that the Hulk is not coming back. Reed explains that they picked a planet with vegetation and no intelligent life form. Cho calculates where the planet should be at and uses a satellite to figure out that the Hulk is not on the planet. Reed doesn't believe him but Cho shows him that there are no gamma readings being picked up. There are no other inhabitable planets nearby and accuses Reed of killing the Hulk and being a monster. Reed talks about different incidents when the Hulk ravaged towns but Cho talks about how the Hulk was manipulated by villains or harassed by heroes. He asks why they can't just leave him alone and talks about how the Hulk has saved the earth a number of times. Later, Iron Man comes to visit Reed. Reed says that they traced the call back to one of Bruce's old hideout but Cho was long gone. He then tells Iron Man that the Hulk is not where they sent him and that the worse part is that the Hulk has friends and he hopes they can find the Hulk before his friends do.
