Hulk and his Warbound stand in the Spikes spaceship looking at some
different spikes than they have been dealing with, larger spikes
in humanoid form with armor on some parts of their bodies. Miek
calls them Father Spikes. Korg thinks they are in trouble but the
Hulk just asks Miek if he hears anything. Miek says that he hears
telling stories so he chems with the others and shows them. The
new spikes thank the Hulk for not burning them and listening instead.
He tells how they are really creatures of space who feed off of
the energy of dying stars. During their travels, they accidently
crashed on the planet. Without the energy from space, they went
insane and tried to absorb anything they could. They killed millions
of people on the planet before the Red King's robots beat them back
and sent them back into space but instead of staying in space, they
crashed on the planet's moon where they spent years feeding off
of each other. They were now back on the planet and in the same
situation with their children going insane and killing everything.
They say that can control their children for a short time as long
as the Hulk helps them.
Cut to one hour later, when the Hulk and his fellow rebels have
surrounded the Red King's city along with an army of spikes. Slaves
in the city try to protect the Red King but he burns them alive
to make his way to the Hulk. He then blasts the fire at the Hulk.
The Hulk then asks Miek to chem all the people there with the Red
King so that when the Hulk beats him to death, he will understand
why. The Red King's mind is filled with all the atrocities he let
happen in his rule but he feels no remorse, he feels that it is
his duty and pleasure. He then takes his sword and takes a swip
at the Hulk and hits him in the arm, noting that he still bleeds.
The Hulk says that just makes him mad and then lands a punch right
in the center. He Hulk then informs the king that the madder he
gets, the stronger he gets. He tells him this as he grabs the king's
sword and throws him. The Red King gets up and fires rockets from
his armor but they don't even phase the Hulk. The Hulk goes up and
hits the Red King, sending him flying back into one of his own statues.
The Red King stumbles up, part of his armor having fallen off, and
gives the Hulk one last change to kneel down before him or he will
kill all of his friends. The Hulk of course refuses at which point
the Red King puts his hand up on the wall on a special console and
the ground starts to rip open. Caiera tells Korg that the Red King
has caused the planet's plates to crack. One of the rebels says
that the Green Scar will save them. Korg says that the Hulk can
smash a world but he can't heal it at which point the Hulk jumps
down into the fissure. The Hulk grabs the plates and actually uses
his strength to bring them back together and stop the disaster.
Korg then tells Caiera that he just said those things about the
Hulk to make him mad, knowing he would save them. The Hulk leaps
out and smashes a punch, sending him flying far away from the city.
The Red King manages to stand up again, saying that he is a god
but suddenly from behind him come multiple Wildebots who kill him.
Back in the city, Elloe is about to kill one of the Red King's
soldier when Hiriom stops her and then she notices the spikes and
wants to kill them but Caiera tells her that they are helping the
Hulk. Elloe calls them monsters but suddenly the Hulk jumps back
and says the only real monster on the planet is dead at which point
he throws the Red King's helmet to the ground. All the people shout
'Green Scar!" The Hulk then sets about letting prisoners go
and letting everyone know they are free. He then walks away with
the Father Spikes and Caiera wonders where he is going. Later that
night, Korg, along with Caiera and Hiroim, go to see the Hulk to
tell him his coronation is starting. The Hulk wonders why Korg arranged
this. Korg tells the Hulk that only he has the strength and will
to hold all the people of the planet together. Cut back to the Hulk
where you can see him allowing the Father Spikes to feed directly
from his arm and Caiera is surprised and concerned. Hiroim tells
her that allowing the spike elders to feed quiets and calms the
smaller spikes outside. Caiera is concerned that the Hulk can not
carry every burden of the world but the Hulk says "says who."
The process of letting the spike elders feed is obviously painful
so Caiera goes and holds the Hulk's hand as he goes through it.
Hiroim leaves and calls him King Hulk as he exits.
