Synopsis: Bruce sits on the ground in the pouring rain, thinking
about how he just saw Betty's lifeless body and how the
Abomination
had something to do with her death. Bruce hears the
Professor
and
Joe Fixit give their opinions. It
switches to inside Bruce's mind where the
Professor
tries to convince Bruce to forgive the the
Abomination.
The
Professor says that he is worried
about Bruce's mind fracturing again. Bruce just gets angry and turns
into the
Savage Hulk. Out in the real
world, the Hulk jumps away. The
Abomination,
disguised, tells his class that he regrets that he must move on
due to circumstances. He leaves them some poetry he wrote especially
for them. The government plant in the class calls up General Ross
and tells him that the
Abomination
is going to leave. Ross tells the agent to trail the
Abomination
but at a safe distance since "backup" will be arriving shortly.
Ross looks at a scene where he is tracking the movement of the Hulk.
The
Abomination wakes up from
his sleep in the lake as the Hulk jumps down and lands on him. The
two start to fight as the
Abomination
wonders what took him so long to come after him. The
Abomination
figures that Bruce turning into the
Savage
Hulk will just make it easier for him to defeat him. General
Ross watches the fight from the safety of a helicopter. The
Abomination
says that he was always the Hulk's superior in strength and tenacity.
When the
Abomination causes the
Hulk to bleed, the Hulk gets mad and jumps at the
Abomination,
causing both to land in the lake. Doc Samson and
Angela
see news about the Hulk on tv. The
Abomination
has the Hulk in a chokehold underwater until the Hulk pushes them
through a dam wall, flooding the town below. Luckily General Ross
had had the townspeople evacuated. The
Abomination
climbs out of the water, thinking he has won, when the Hulk jumps
out and starts the fight again. When the
Abomination
starts to mention Betty, the Hulk loses it and starts to pound on
him. The Hulk refuses to accept Bettys' death as he continues to
beat the
Abomination. When the
Abomination tells the Hulk to
finish it and put them both out of their misery, the Hulk changes
back into Bruce. The army arrives and Bruce tells Ross that he was
used by him. Ross just says he did what he had to do to get his
daughter's killer. Later, Bruce goes to where they are keeping the
captive
Abomination. They are
using the same equipment that Ryker used on the Hulk which rendered
him helpless. Bruce tells the
Abomination
that this is his last goodbye. The
Abomination
tells Bruce that he can do nothing more to hurt him. Bruce tells
him about how the government spied on him when he was still back
in Russia. Bruce shows a tape of the once-human
Abomination
talking to his wife about a trip he was going to go on (to spy on
Bruce at the Gamma Base, but you already knew that, right?) where
his wife says that she will always love him. The
Abomination
begs Bruce to turn it off but Bruce just says that it is on an endless
loop and that he will have to watch it for the rest of his life.
The
Abomination begs for mercy
but Bruce just walks away.
