GREAT MOMENTS IN HISTORY

The Incredible Hulk #343: While in the stasis tubes, Saunders and LaRoquette are reminded of their pasts'. Saunders started off as a kid loving to play with caps, seeing their flash and hearing the noise. In high school, he accidently blew up the chemistry lab. He joined the military as an explosives expert. One day while at a national airport, a man tried to smuggle a bomb on an airplane. He shot the person and tried to diffuse the bomb but found that he didn't have time. Instead, he threw it down a hall not knowing that a woman and her child where coming out of a restroom. The bomb exploded, killing them both. Saunders was blamed for the deaths and the military wanted no part of him. He wandered until he got hooked up with the Hulkbusters but even their he couldn't seem to succeed. All he wanted was a chance, so the Leader puts him in a battlesuit with deadly weapons and names him Redeemer. LaRoquette remembers growing up pretending fantasy after fantasy. He grew up and lived every adventure he could, conquering every environment on the planet, from water to mountains to jungles. He eventually became a college professor and got involved with one of his students, Carolyn Parmenter. The Dean of Students found out of the relationship and LaRoquette ending up hitting the Dean and getting fired from the college and also led to the relationship with Carolyn ending badly, as they broke up and lost contact with each other. He went to work for Argo Industries and during an expedition, an earthquake claimed the lives of two of his workers. His bosses blamed him so he punched them. Then he joined the Hulkbusters and met up with Carolyn again, which seemed to go well. But then, she died during a training session and even though he blamed the Hulk and Doc Samson, he feels that he should have somehow saved her. All his life, he felt that people have tried to put him down and tell him what to do but he has hung tough. The Leader encases LaRoquette in a extremely hard material which LaRoquette can shape mentally and calls him Rock. The Leader plans on using his new soldiers to steal a gamma bomb and to destroy the Hulk.

The Incredible Hulk #344: Rock and Redeemer attack Yuma Base to steal a gamma bomb. They go through and kill soldier after soldier effortlessly. During the battle, Redeemer asks why the Leader doesn't use the humanoids. The Leader tells him that is so that the world doesn't realize that the Leader is still alive. The Leader also says that he didn't just matter transport one out because the bomb might go off during the transfer. They reach the vault holding hundreds of gamma bombs and take one.

The Incredible Hulk #345: Bruce, Clay, Betty and Rick look over footage of Rock and Redeemer's attack of the base. Meanwhile, Rock and Redeemer train at the Leader's base on a robotic Hulk. Rock says that he wants to go up against the real Hulk. The Leader tells them to have patience. Rock asks if when the mission is over, he will be disconnected from his suit. The Hulkbuster team. The Hulk jumps at Rock and Redeemer, demanding them to tell him where the bomb is. The Hulk tracks down Redeemer and Redeemer shoots the Hulk square in the face. The Hulk, unfazed, grabs one of Redeemer's hands and crushes it. The Hulk asks him again where the bomb is, with Rock sneaking up on him. Rock creates sharp points and starts to twirl up behind the Hulk but at the last minute, the Hulk turns around and throws Redeemer at Rock, killing him. Rock wants revenge, forming hands and grabbing the Hulk. The Hulk gets ahold of one of the hands and rips it off of Rock, causing mental feedback and intense pain for Rock. The Hulk takes the opportunity and beats the heck out of Rock. The Leader appears and distracts the Hulk enough for the weakened Rock to come up behind the Hulk and pierce through the Hulk's body from behind. The Rock is too weak to finish the job, so the Leader transports him and Rock away.

The Incredible Hulk #366: The Leader transports the Hulk to his secret base to talk to him. Rock attacks the Hulk from behind and tells the Hulk he owes him a lot of payback. The Hulk breaks a spike off a Rock and throws him at it. Redeemer shows up and the Hulk is thrown for a minute because he saw Redeemer die before. Redeemer's visor is cloudy so you can not actually see the person in the outfit. The Hulk knocks Rock and Redemer back with a clap of his hands and then knocks a building down on them. The Hulk then runs into the Leader.

The Incredible Hulk #397: The U-Foes attack the Pantheon mountain base and the Hulk and Pantheon members go up against them. Just as the Hulk asks them what they are doing there and who told them about the base, the Leader appears with Rock and Redeemer plus the Riot Squad.

The Incredible Hulk #398: Rock and Redeemer attack the Hulk along with the U-Foes and Riot Squad. There are so many people fighting the Hulk that the Hulk is able to throw Ogress and Ironclad into each other. The Hulk then throws Ironclad into Redeemer. Rock impales the Hulk from behind but the Pantheon jump into the fight and help. The Hulk claps his hands and knocks most of them out. He then knocks out Vector but before he can do anything else, Agamemnon appears and says that there has been a truce. The Leader just smirks.

The Incredible Hulk #399: Rock and Redeemer transport away from the Pantheon mountain base along with the Leader, the U-Foes, and Riot Squad. Later, the Leader and Redeemer transports into Rick's room. He tells Rick of the empathic bond they share and that he cannot deal with the grief from Marlo's death. The Leader says that he must do something about it and Rick takes that as if the Leader is going to kill him. Instead, the Leader says that he plans to bring Marlo back which Rick thinks is a lie. He tells Rick of his comibination of technology plus the powers of Soul Man, he can bring someone back to life and to prove it, he tells Redeemer to take off his helmet. Redeemer lifts his helmet up and although you can't see who it is, Rick looks shocked.

The Incredible Hulk #400: While at Freehold, Rick looks at the slacken-faced General Ross in the Redeemer battlesuit, finally believing that the Leader can bring people back to life. In his office, the Leader explains to Rick how he took the deceased General Ross's body and brought it back to life with his machines and put it in the Redeemer suit when Saunders was killed. Rick asks why he didn't bring Saunders back to life. The Leader answers that he didn't bring Saunders back because he was annoying. When Hydra attacks, Rock and Redeemer help the Riot Squad fight them off. When the Hulk interrupts the Soul Man's process to bring Marlo back to life, Redeemer fires at him. The Hulk uses the Leader's body as a shield. The enraged Hulk breaks the helmet of Redeemer and is surprised to see General Ross. He throws Redeemer/Ross at the crystalline structure the gravely injured Leader crawled into and causes the whole thing to explode. The Hulk digs himself out ofthe rubble and finds the body of the once again deceased General Ross.

The Incredible Hulk #401: Rock is seen helping clean up rubble alongside Ogress.

The Incredible Hulk #464: When General Ross, along with Bruce Banner, goes to Freehold with the Troyjans, he is greeted by Rock. Ross recognizes LaRoquette from the Hulkbusters and wonders what has happened to him. Rock says that noone has called him LaRoquette in a long time and calls General Ross "Redeemer." That opens a floodgate of info as Ross remembers his life as Redeemer and then dying at the Hulk's hand and then the Troyjans bringing him back to life again.
