GREAT MOMENTS IN HISTORY
The Incredible Hulk #226: The Savage Hulk lands at Desert State
University and has flashbacks to when he was there at Bruce Banner.
In his mind, he tells Susan, although he refers to her as Sally, that
he loves her. She says she loves him but she is actually talking to
Bruce. She says she knows that Bruce will be a big, important scientist
some day. The Hulk gets a little mad.
The Incredible Hulk #410: The Professor
watches Susan laying in a jail cell on the video monitor. The Hulk
tells Ulysses that she is in permanent solitary confinement at Ft.
Cheer. He also tells him that she was an old flame in college and
that he drove her away. The Hulk tells Ulysses that they are going
to break her out and that the prison is in Nebraska. At the prison,
two people look in on Susan's cell and tell her that she is going
to rot there. Susan just begs to see light. The Hulk projects an image
of his face to the prison and tells Susan that he will be coming to
liberate her. He also tells the prison warden that there is nothing
he can do to prevent it and that he should just set her free. The
prison warden calls the Secretary of the US what happened. The secretary
says that Susan was a CIA agent that leaked information to the Israelis
and that she will be staying in prison for life. The Hulk and Ulysses
break into the prison and during the fighting, the Hulk remembers
his times with Susan. She came up to him at a party because Bruce
was the buzz of the campus, given that he was such a genius. Flashforward
a few months later where Susan is confused by Bruce never touches
her. She thinks it has something to do with her. Later still, Susan
apologizes to Bruce for running away but apparently he grabbed her
and it seemed like he was someone else. She says that he scares her.
They make it to Susan's cell but they have already moved her. Just
then, SHIELD shows up.
The Incredible Hulk #411: Nick Fury talks to the Secretary
of the US and implies he knows something about Susan's situation is
not exactly kosher. Just then, the Hulk breaks up through the floor.
Nick and the Hulk have a stand-off and the Hulk threatens to bomb
the whole place if Susan isn't turned over and they are allowed to
go away without any resistance. Fury lets them go. Fury then goes
to the Secretary and tells him he knows about Susan's situation. She
was a CIA agent and heard about Saddam's gas attack plans and warned
the Israelis even though she was told not to. She did it to save lives.
The Hulk is shown sitting with Susan. He tells her that she will be
moved to a facility outside the US and that she will be reunited with
her family. She apolizes for dumping him in college and he asks that
not tell anyone that she dumped him.
