Real Name: Emil Blonsky
Alias: Ravanger of Worlds
First Appearance: Tales to Astonish #90
Origin: Tales to Astonish #90
Powers/Abilities: The Abomination exhibits superhuman strength,
at one time stronger than the Hulk's. When subjected to extreme
physical injury, extreme cold, or lack of oxygen such as in space
the Abomination goes into a comatose state. The Abomination also
exhibits some amount of regenerative power given that he has healed
almost entirely from his exposure to nuclear waste. This healing
power is not at a level even close to the Hulk's.

Origin: The Abomination was originally a spy who stumbled across
some gamma equipment used by Bruce Banner and he purposely exposed
himself to gamma radiation, turning himself into the Abomination.
GREAT MOMENTS IN HISTORY
Tales to Astonish #90: Emil sneaks around Gamma Base, a spy
undercover as a soldier, and stumbles upon Bruce's Gamma Ray Machine.
He takes pictures of it to sell and hides just as Bruce comes in.
Bruce preps the machine to change himself into the Hulk but soldiers
find him and drag him away before he can finish the process. Emil
sneaks out of the shadows when everyone is gone, figuring that given
how smart Bruce is, whatever he was going to do must have been important.
He steps in front of the machine and activiates it, changing him
into the Abomination. The Abomination smashes the machine so that
no one else can duplicate the process. He starts to tear apart the
base, causing Bruce to turn into the Hulk and the two of them to
fight. Due to the fact that Emil was exposed to a higher dose of
gamma radiation than Bruce, he is stronger and manages to knock
the Hulk unconscious. The Abomination grabs Betty and jumps away.
Tales to Astonish #91: General Ross helps revive the Hulk
and when the Hulk turns back into Bruce, Bruce formulates a plan.
Bruce uses a Infra-gamma Beam to draw the Abomination back to the
base. When the Abomination comes back, he drops Betty and Bruce
hits a switch which draws the strength out of the Abomination. Bruce
gets excited and turns into the Hulk before the process can finish.
The two start to fight but before it can end, the Stranger interrupts
and takes the Abomination away with him.
The Incredible Hulk #136: The Hulk is kidnapped by Xeron
to help him in his quest to defeat Klaatu. When the Hulk wakes up
on Xeron's ship in space, he is greated by the ship's first mate,
the Abomination, who is in charge of all the slaves.
The Incredible Hulk #137: The Hulk starts a fight with the
Abomination but the fight is stopped when Xeron shots the Hulk with
a harpoon blast. The other slaves explain how they find the Abomination
on a world battling a creature and took him on board where he battled
the previous first-mate to a death duel. The Hulk accepts his condition
as a slave for now considering he can not get off the ship. One
night, while the Hulk was gazing at the stars from aboard the ship,
the Abomination knocks him over into space. Xeron manages to save
the Hulk with one of his harpoons. Later, the Hulk reverts back
to Bruce. When a battle with Klaatu starts, Bruce goes into a space
boat and the boat turns over, sending Bruce into space. The Abomination
grabs Bruce in the confusion. Bruce turns into the Hulk and the
two battle. The Hulk hits the Abomination away, sending him flying
into space, while the Hulk falls to Earth.
The Incredible Hulk #159: Bruce returns from space in a ship
and General Ross fires rockets at him. A stray rocket hits the desert
and happens to hit the spot where the Abomination is buried under
ground in a comatose state. The Abomination awakes and remembers
he wants to destroy the Hulk and sees him falling to the ground.
He starts to go after him. The army comes across the Abomination,
and thinking that he is the Hulk, trap him in a titanium cage filled
with sleeping gas. General Ross informs them that they have gotten
the wrong person and then goes into the cage and offers the Abomination
a deal. If the Abomination goes and catches the Hulk before Betty
finds out about it, then General Ross will help clear him. The Abomination
sees a calendar on the wall which reads 1972 which is two years
from what he last remembers, namely 1970. General Ross convinces
the Abomination that it really is 1970 and that the calendar is
just for long-range goals. The army drops the Abominaton near the
Hulk and the two fight. During the fight, the Hulk casually mentions
that he beat the Abomination a long time ago. When the Abomination
realizes it, he starts to crack a little bit realizing that he can
lose whole sections of his life without realizing it. The Hulk takes
the confusion and knocks the Abomination out and leaves.
The Incredible Hulk #171: Bruce sneaks onto the Hulkbuster
Base right before the Rhino and Abomination
attack the base. They put General Ross, Betty Ross, and the other
soldiers in a holding cell. The two villians explain how they are
seeking revenge against the Hulk for past defeats. They mean to
destroy everybody. The Abomination comes across Bruce wandering
around the base, taking him to be just another soldier, and grabs
him. Bruce turns into the Hulk and shortly battles the Abomination
and Rhino. The Hulk runs away when the
Abomination tries to shoot the Hulk with a laser gun. The Hulk comes
across Jim Wilson and his girlfriend
who have snuck on the base. They formulate a plan whereas Jim's
girlfriend distracts the Abomination and Rhino
for the Hulk to jump them while Jim goes and stops a bomb the Rhino
and Abomination planted. The Rhino and
Abomination start charging at the Hulk from opposite sides at full
speed and at the last second, the Hulk turns away and the two hit
each other at full force and knocking each other out.
The Incredible Hulk #194: Army forces find the comatose body
of the Abomination buried on Gamma Base after his last battle with
the Hulk. Before he can awaken, they plant a bomb in his brain and
tell him that he will help them. The Abomination says he will.
The Incredible Hulk #195: The Hulk goes to a circus with
a boy he befriends and causes a panic. General Ross sends the Abomination
after the Hulk to bring him back to Gamma Base. The two fight and
during the battle, one of the Hulk's blows deactivates the bomb
in the Abomination's head. The Abomination tries to trick the Hulk
into believing he is the Hulk's friend. The Hulk's friend tries
to convince the Hulk that the Abomination is tricking him and grabs
a gun from a policeman but accidently shots at the Hulk. The Abomination
uses the Hulk's confusion and convinces the Hulk to leave with him.
The Incredible Hulk #196: The Hulk and Abomination hide in
an army truck and sneak onto Kennedy Space Center. They manage to
take the base over and get on the broadcasting system and demand
100 million dollars in uncut diamonds or they will start tearing
the base apart. Doc Samson has Betty broadcast her face throughout
the base telling the Hulk that she is his friend. The Abomination
keeps smashing the monitors until the Hulk can't take anymore and
starts a fight with the Abomination. The Abomination hits the Hulk
into a building and makes a run for a rocket to make an escape.
The Hulk gets out from the rubble and grabs onto the rocket as it
takes off. The Hulk damages the rocket and it explodes in space
with the Abomination in it while the Hulk falls back to Earth.
The Incredible Hulk #270: The Hulk goes with Amphibion,
Dark-Crawler, and Torgo into space to help stop the Galaxy
Master who is being helped by the Abomination to conquer worlds.
The Hulk gets transported to a planet to fight the Abomination while
the other three go fight the Galaxy
Master. After exploding in the rocket, the Abomination floated
in space until the Galaxy Master. The Hulk learns that the Galaxy
Master has restored the Abomination to his original strength.
The two fight and even with the increased power, the Hulk beats
the Abomination. The two are transported near the battle with the
Galaxy Master and to prove his worth
to the Galaxy Master, the Abomination
defeats Amphibion. The Hulk defeats
the Galaxy Master, causing the Abomination
to feel the same pain and causing him to fall back into the void
of space.
The Incredible Hulk #287: MODOK attacks the base where Project
Earthfall is located. He defeats all the soldiers and scientists
and makes it to the cryogenics core. General Ross confronts MODOK
but then allows him to de-thaw the cryogenically-frozen body of
the Abomination.
The Incredible Hulk #288: MODOK thaws out the Abomination
who whimpers about enough pain. General Ross explains how they found
the ice-encased body of the Abomination floating in space after
the last defeat by the Hulk. The Abomination says he doesn't want
to fight the Hulk anymore and doesn't want anymore pain. MODOK takes
the Abomination and transports away. Later, in MODOK's lab, MODOK
tortues the Abomination over and over again to make him want to
fight the Hulk. The Abomination just keeps say no and that he can
never defeat the Hulk.
The Incredible Hulk #289: The Abomination goes to the lab
Bruce and Kate Waynesboro are working at and decides to attack basically
because he is more afraid of what MODOK will do to him than the
Hulk. The Abomination attacks but the Hulk is so angry over the
fact he just found out Katherine was in actuality a SHIELD agent,
that he beats the Abomination severly under the Abomination begs
for the Hulk to stop. The Abomination, knowing he can't beat the
Hulk and can't go back to MODOK empty handed, takes Katherine and
heads back to MODOK.
The Incredible Hulk #290: The Abomination returns to AIM
headquarters with Katherine in hand not knowing that AIM had driven
off MODOK. The Abomination hands over Katherine and just asks to
be free and he will do anything they want. The Hulk follows the
Abomination with a gamma-tracker and reaches the outskirts of the
AIM base. MODOK confronts him, showing him what AIM is planning
on doing with Katherine, namely make her into a being like MODOK.
MODOK and the Hulk break in but it is too late as Katherine has
become Ms MODOK. MODOK and Ms MODOK team up and defeat AIM. MODOK
attacks the Hulk and then to show him what is to come, MODOK fires
upon the Abomination and breaks him down into atoms that scatter
to the wind.
The Incredible Hulk Annual #15: An explosion occurs in space
and from that explosion, a figure falls to Earth. SHIELD comes to
investigate the figure and finds the Abomination who is speaking
very elegantly. He easily defeats them and uses a mindscan on one
of the soldiers to find out any secrets. He jumps to a nearby town
and sees his reflection in a pane of glass, seeing how ugly he is.
The Abomination winces as the mind of Emil tries to regain control.
The town police come but the Abomination beats them and leaps away.
The Abomination goes to Gamma Base to use the equipment but also
happens upon Bruce. The Abomination explains to Bruce about how
the disembodied consciousness of Tyrannus in space came upon the
disintegrated atoms of the Abomination and when he combined with
them, the mind of Tyrannus was able to take control of the Abomination's
body. He tells how he came to Gamma Base to use the equipment to
separate Emil's body from the Abomination's and to take control
of that body and that Bruce will help him. Bruce turns into the
Hulk and him and the Abomination fight, but the Abomination manages
to knock the Hulk out. The Abomination kidnaps Betty and holds her
hostage unless Bruce helps him do the separation. Bruce agrees and
he and the Abomination-Tyrannus work with the equipment to get it
right. The Abomination gets into the bath and at that point SHIELD
catches up and attacks. Bruce knows that Betty might be doomed so
he changes into the Hulk. The Abomination steps out of the bath
holding Emil's body but Tyrannus's mind is still trapped in the
Abomination's body. The Hulk and Abomination fight but this time
the Hulk wins. The Hulk is taken into custody by SHIELD. Emil retains
enought of Tyrannus's mind and tells Bruce where to find Betty,
saving her in time.
The Incredible Hulk #364: The Abomination lands at the Nuclear
facility Bruce was working at anonymously. The Abomination recognizes
him and starts to push him around. He forces Bruce to change into
the Hulk, actually saving his life because Leader
before he can get any information.
The Incredible Hulk #383: Two city workers going through
the sewer at night stumble across the Abomination and run. The Abomination
crawls out of the sewer and climbs up the outside of a building
and stares at a sleeping Nadia, the Abominations ex-wife. The next
day, the Abomination is seen watching Nadia as see leaves with her
date, Sergi who also happens to be a Pantheon agent. Sergi alerts
the Pantheon who come to help. The Pantheon tells Bruce of the situation.
The Hulk and Pantheon wait during a performance by Nadia to see
if the Abomination shows up. Suddenly, people start disappearing
due to Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. Chaos starts as people
start running around, confused. The Abomination takes the opportunity
and kidnaps Nadia, who faints. The Hulk sees this and goes after
the Abomination into the sewer. The Hulk stops the Abomination but
before he can do anything, he gets sucked into the battle with Thanos.
The Incredible Hulk #384: The Hulk returns from the battle
with Thanos to the sewer but he is the size of a mouse. He comes
across the Abomination carrying the unconscious form on Nadia but
he is too small to stop him physically. Nadia wakes up and screams
for help but the homeless people in the sewer don't do anything.
They accept the Abomination for what he is. The Abomination tells
Nadia that when he was a man, he watched her perform in Europe.
He tells her he just wants to protect her from the insanity above
and that he plans to keep her down in the sewers with him. He screams
and yells and calls him insane. The Hulk jumps on the Abomination's
shoulders and whispers in his ear, pretending he is God. The Hulk
tells the Abomination that he must let Nadia go for she will wither
and die if she stays in the sewers. He says that if the Abomination
told Nadia who he really was, she might run into his arms still
in love, but most likely she will be repulsed by what he has become.
The Abomination returns Nadia to her home. The Hulk says good-bye
to the Abomination and jumps off to battle Thanos again. The Abomination
says good-bye to the Hulk, knowing it was him the whole time.
The Incredible Hulk Annual #20: A women walks in into Central
Park waiting for someone to kill her. A gang confronts her and is
about to do just that when the Abomination stops them. The woman,
Sandy, tells the Abomination about how her husband was killed by
Madman during a fight with the Hulk and
that she has nothing left to live for. The Abomination takes her
down to the sewers where he lives with the homeless people. Sandy
gets comfortable and listens to a story the Abomination tells the
homeless people. The Abomination tells of a story about a man named
Blonsky who loved a women named Nadia so much that he took a curse
about himself for all time just to insure that the woman he loved
would be happy. The woman woke up the next morning, ready to start
her life again. The Abomination left a note in her pocket to come
back into the sewers for storytime any time she felt.
The Incredible Hulk #431: A reporter follows police as they
go into the sewers of New York in an effort to clean out the homeless.
They stumble upon the Abomination who is protecting his people.
A fight ensues and the police are forced to flee with the camera
showing the Abomination taking a "hostage" away with him. The Hulk
hears about the situation and decides to go take care of it since
he feels responsible for the Abomination. The "hostage," Sandy,
is actually a women bringing food and help to the homeless people
in the sewer. The Abomination tells Sandy to leave because he has
a feeling that the police will be back. What no one knows is that
a corrupt politician is having the police kill all the homeless
people in the sewer so that an associate of his can bring guns and
drugs into the city. The Hulk arrives and goes with the police into
the sewer. The Abomination starts a fight with the Hulk unaware
that it is just a ploy to let the homeless people get away. The
homeless people decide to help the Abomination and come back. One
steals a gun from the police and starts to shoot and the others
throw stuff and the police. The police return fire, killing most
of the homeless people. The Abomination loses control, killing one
of the cops, and confronts the Hulk.
The Incredible Hulk #432: The Abomination opens a steam line
and loses the Hulk. The Abomination starts to pick off the remaining
cops one by one. The last cop stumbles across Sandy and holds her
hostage so that the Abomination wouldn't hurt him. The Hulk tackles
the Abomination, allowing the policeman and Sandy to make it to
the surface. The Abomination hits the Hulk throught the ceiling
of the sewer and they take their fight to the streets above. The
Abomination gets to a news helicopter flying above followed by the
Hulk and gives the Hulk an option: let the helicopter crash, killing
the people, and he will go quietly, or save the people and he escapes.
The Hulk saves the people while the Abomination dives into the water
below, getting away.
The Abominations #2: The Abomination in the Maestro-future
tortures Janis Jones through the use of a telepath to make her tell
him where "the Betty" went to. She refuses to say anything. The
Abomination goes back to his room where the mutated She-Hulk, now
called the Shulk, is resting. This future Abomination is apparently
in love with her. The Shulk does not share the same feelings. The
telepath helps Janis escape. Meanwhile back in the present time,
the "Betty" and other escapees from the future are stuck beside
some homeless people in a showdown with the NY cops in NY city.
Fighting erupts and before things get out of hand, the Abomination
comes up from the sewer and with the help of a smoke bomb, gets
everyone down in the sewers to safety. The future Abomination hires
Quarry to find Janis and "the Betty" before the child is born. The
Shulk hits the Abomination with everything she has when he least
expects it and leaves. The Shulk grabs the telepath and makes him
show her how to use the time machine and they go back in time and
land in the same spot as the other people. The cops draw their guns
on her. Meanwhile, down in the sewers, the Abomination yells at
his people, wondering why they keep trying to go up to the surface
even though the people up there don't want them. One of the people
from the future regains consciousness and upon seeing the Abomination,
decides to try to stop everything that happens in the future by
killing the Abomination now. He grabs a pole and jumps at the Abomination.
The Abominations #3: The Abomination gets into a fight with
the visitors from the Maestro-future. In the future, one of the
mutates finds a human and presents it to the future-Abomination.
The human begs for her life, saying that she is good at cybernetic
prostesis and extensions which gives the Abomination an idea. The
Abomination in the present ties up the visitors just as the Shulk
makes it to the sewers saying that she is there to assasinate the
"Betty." The Abomination says that the girl is under his protection
and that the Shulk will do nothing but answer his questions. In
the future, the Abomination, now exhibiting robotic features, destroys
the time machine saying that the past is dead and to just let it
fade away. The Abomination and the other future visitors fight against
the Shulk to prevent from killing "Betty's" new baby which was just
born. The telepath stops the Shulk only by killing her. The Shulk
whispers something to the Abomination before she dies. The Abomination
buries her under a tombstone reading "Jennifer Walters." The visitors
from the future decide to stay with the Abomination under the sewer
and they call themselves as a group the Abominations.
The Incredible Hulk #459: While the Banner-less Hulk wanders
about the city in a world of his own, the Abomination decides to
take revenge on the Hulk for his part in members of the people living
in the sewer dying. The Abomination faces the Hulk, but all the
Hulk sees are past versions of himself. They fight but the Hulk,
who in his mind is actually fighting himself, eventually is able
to defeat the Abomination and with one last punch, sends him flying
away.
X-Men #74: While flying through the sewers of New York City,
the Angel runs into the Abomination, who is a tad bit mad due to
most of his friends in the sewers being killed. The Abomination,
disgusted as to how nice Angel looks, tells him he does not belong
down in the darkness and tries to hit him. He chases the Angel through
the sewers, with Marrow following both of them. The Angel hides
and right before the Abomination finds him, Marrow distracts him
and causes the Abomination to chase her. He catches her, saying
that she belongs in the sewers with him. The Angel comes up and
tells the Abomination to let Marrow go. The Angel and the Abomination
fight with the Abomination easily defeating the Angel. Right before
he kills the Angel, Marrow throws two bones at the Abomination's
eyes. The Abomination rips the bones out and tells Angel that he
is giving Marrow false hope and that if she goes with the Angel,
she will eventually come back to the sewer. He turns and leaves
them.
The Incredible Hulk #472: General Ross tracks down who he
thinks is the Hulk to a town which has been destroyed and it turns
out to be the Abomination.
The Incredible Hulk #473: The issue starts with General Ross
takes shots at the Abomination who is throwing debris at him. The
Abomination, who is ranting, walks towards General Ross. Ross fires
and hits the Abomination right below the eye, which infuriates him.
The Abomination recognizes General Ross and he admits to him that
he killed Betty.
The Incredible Hulk #442: Ross can't bring himself to shot
as the Abomination steps forward and hits his gun away. He tells
General Ross about his rage-filled relationship with the Hulk over
the years. He related how he suffered humiliation and rejection
and Betty married the Hulk and accepted him. He tells Ross how when
Betty lie sick from radiation poisoning, he switched a bag of his
blood tainted with deadly chemicals for the fresh blood that was
supposed to be given to Betty, which helped kill her. He just wanted
the Hulk and General Ross to feel the pain that he has. Just then,
the Hulk reappears and hits the Abomination. The Hulk, who now knows
who killed his wife, prepares to attack the Abomination when General
Ross tells them to stop. The Abomination says that he will have
his revenge and satisfaction. The Hulk looks around at all the artillery
which has surrounded them and decides not to do anything. When he
tells the Abomination he will not fight him, the Abomination jumps
off, still ranting.
The Incredible Hulk #24: The Abomination, wrapped from head
to toe, looks out the window while one of the students he is teaching
in a writing class at a local library reads his story. The students
don't know who he is but think that he has some type of skin cancer.
He tells the student to stop and that he needs to write about something
he understands. He then relates to his class the story of Emil (basically
the history of the Abomination with a slight spin on it). He tells
how Emil left his wife behind as he went to another country to steal
their magic as a sense of duty to his country. The magic, though,
turned him into a monster and he could never go home. His enemy
is the magician (the Hulk) who created the magic that turned him
into the monster, the man who stole his life from him. His wife
thinks him dead and he realizes he has lost everything. To make
his enemy feel how he does, he kills his enemy's wife (Betty). His
enemy forgives him knowing that is the one thing Emil can not endure.
Emil is totally without purpose and sleeps at the bottom of the
sea each night, hoping that his life is actually a dream. His students
ask if the story ends with Emil seeing his wife again and the Abomination
says no and that "happy endings are for lazy writers." Elsewhere,
Doc Samson is reading Bruce's letter when Bruce asks Samson why
he lied to him about he being the merged Hulk when all along it
was another persona. Samson says that he didn't have a choice because
the savage Hulk was close to being loose and that he expected the
real Bruce to regain control. Bruce accepts his apology. Bruce then
talks about the Abomination killing Betty and that it was the Professor
persona that forgave the Hulk, not him. He was never given a chance
to accept Betty's death and he thinks about her a lot. The Abomination
calls Nadia, his wife, at her dance class but doesn't say anything,
just like he has done numerous times. He then walks away in the
rain. The Abomination stands before a lake and thinks to himself
about a letter to Nadia, which he will never send. The letter states
how he wish he could explain to her why he has left her think he
was dead all these years, how telling her now would ruin her life,
and how he wishes he could see her just one more time as his nights
are long and lonely. He slowly walks into the water, to sleep another
night. Ross takes Bruce to a base and tells him how they have been
tracking the Abomination and how he is teaching a writing class.
Ross then takes Bruce and shows him Betty's preserved body. Bruce
starts to freak out a little bit and his heart races. Ross says
that it isn't his fault, that Emil took her away from them. Bruce
first says he can't but then he welcomes the change as he turns
into the Hulk. He jumps out of the base, in search of the Abomination
to "smash" him. Ross goes to the body of Betty and restates his
promise to make the person who did this to her pay.
The Incredible Hulk #25:Bruce sits on the ground in the
pouring rain, thinking about how he just saw Betty's lifeless body
and how the Abomination had something to do with her death. Bruce
hears the Professor and Joe
Fixit give their opinions. It switches to inside Bruce's mind
where the Professor tries to convince
Bruce to forgive the the Abomination. The Professor
says that he is worried about Bruce's mind fracturing again. Bruce
just gets angry and turns into the Savage
Hulk. Out in the real world, the Hulk jumps away. The Abomination,
disguised, tells his class that he regrets that he must move on
due to circumstances. He leaves them some poetry he wrote especially
for them. The government plant in the class calls up General Ross
and tells him that the Abomination is going to leave. Ross tells
the agent to trail the Abominationbut at a safe distance since "backup"
will be arriving shortly. Ross looks at a scene where he is tracking
the movement of the Hulk. The Abomination wakes up from his sleep
in the lake as the Hulk jumps down and lands on him. The two start
to fight as the Abomination wonders what took him so long to come
after him. The Abomination figures that Bruce turning into the Savage
Hulk will just make it easier for him to defeat him. General
Ross watches the fight from the safety of a helicopter. The Abomination
says that he was always the Hulk's superior in strength and tenacity.
When the Abomination causes the Hulk to bleed, the Hulk gets mad
and jumps at the Abomination, causing both to land in the lake.
Doc Samson and Angela see news about the
Hulk on tv. The Abomination has the Hulk in a chokehold underwater
until the Hulk pushes them through a dam wall, flooding the town
below. Luckily General Ross had had the townspeople evacuated. The
Abomination climbs out of the water, thinking he has won, when the
Hulk jumps out and starts the fight again. When the Abomination
starts to mention Betty, the Hulk loses it and starts to pound on
him. The Hulk refuses to accept Bettys' death as he continues to
beat the Abomination. When the Abomination tells the Hulk to finish
it and put them both out of their misery, the Hulk changes back
into Bruce. The army arrives and Bruce tells Ross that he was used
by him. Ross just says he did what he had to do to get his daughter's
killer. Later, Bruce goes to where they are keeping the captive
Abomination. They are using the same equipment that Ryker used on
the Hulk which rendered him helpless. Bruce tells the Abomination
that this is his last goodbye. The Abomination tells Bruce that
he can do nothing more to hurt him. Bruce tells him about how the
government spied on him when he was still back in Russia. Bruce
shows a tape of the once-human Abomination talking to his wife about
a trip he was going to go on (to spy on Bruce at the Gamma Base,
but you already knew that, right?) where his wife says that she
will always love him. The Abomination begs Bruce to turn it off
but Bruce just says that it is on an endless loop and that he will
have to watch it for the rest of his life. The Abomination begs
for mercy but Bruce just walks away
The Incredible Hulk #50: Agents S-2 and S-3 use a gas and
knock everyone unconscious at a secret military base in New Mexico.
They go into the room in the base where the Hulk is still restrained,
forced to watch the tapes. AGent S-3 shoots a dart inot the unconscious
Abomination and then wake him up. They offer the Abomination a chance
for freedom but then tell him they just implanted an explosive device
and that if he tries to remove it, it will explode. The Abomination
doesn't give a response so they show him pictures of Bruce Banner
and the Hulk, saying they want him. Agent S-3 explains how all other
attempts to capture the Hulk have failed and that if he helps them
capture the Hulk, they will set him free and also remove the Hulk.
The Abomination just starts to laugh, causing the whole building
to shake. The two agents run out of the building. The agents come
back later with a new DVD showing the Abomination's wife actually
working near the base. And then they show Bruce Banner sleeping
with her. This drives the Abomination over the edge, causing the
building to start to crumble and sets himself free.
The Incredible Hulk #51:Agent S-3 tells the Abomination
that if he helps then destroy the Hulk, they will take out the neck
dart and reunite him with his wife Nadia, who she reminds is currently
being intimate with Bruce Banner. Agent S-3 tells the Abomination
that to show their intentions, she will release him from his magnetic
bonds for a brief moment. As soon as she does, the Abomination reaches
out and grabs her. Agent S-3 tells the Abomination that in order
for the plan to work, he must stay at the base so he volunteerily
goes back into the bonds.
The Incredible Hulk #52: Agent S-3 finalizes the deal with
the Abomination telling him that they will arrange an earthquake
cover story for what happens with him.
The Incredible Hulk #53: Agents S-2 and S-3 tell the Abomination
where his wife is located at and that he must go to her since the
Hulk will be with her. After he delivers the Hulk to them, they
will remove the explosive dart. Unbeknownst to the Abomination,
the same agency was telling Nadia that her time to kill her husband,
the Abomination, was almost at hand. Agent S-3 double-crosses S-2
and the two start to fight. During the struggle, they accidently
release the Abomination. The Abomination knocks the two agents out
and leaves. The Abomination is shown walking through the desert
and destroying a farm to get to the town. The Abomination tears
up the town and sceams Nadia loudly at which point Nadia sneaks
up behind him. The Abomination stands before Nadia and makes vague
threats about hitting her. Nadia tells him that she knows about
his agreement with the secret organization and that the organization
made a deal with her also. She pulls out a detonator for the dart
in his neck. Nadia points the detonator towards him and pushes the
button but nothing happens and the Abomination starts laughing.
Suddenly the Hulk appears on the scene.
The Incredible Hulk #54: The Abomination and Hulk face off
against each other with the Abomination getting the first shot in.
The Hulk starts bleeding as the Abomination hits him more as he
talks about being locked up and having to watch old tape of his
wife saying goodbye to him. Nadia comes up and tells him to stop
it. As the Abomination continues to beat the Hulk, Nadia tells the
Abomination that he knows what he did to Betty Ross. The Abomination
throws the Hulk aside as Nadia asks what he was feeling all those
times he was beating her when they were married. Nadia says that
she was happy when she found out the Abomination was incarcerated
and how she celebrated at which point the Abomination hits her.
The Abomination starts to walk towards Nadia to discipline her more
then the Hulk comes back and hits the Abomination right in the face.
The Hulk starts to beat up the Abomination and tells him that he
would love to snap his neck but in order to do that, he would have
to let the Hulk take complete control and he doesn't want that to
happen. The Abomination hits the Hulk with a bus at which point
the Hulk turns back into Bruce Banner. The Abomination tells Bruce
that he didn't believe all the stories the agents were telling him,
he just came to kill the Hulk, that's it. The Abomination grabs
Bruce and Bruce, still in control of the Hulk's strength in that
form, surprises the Abomination and hits him. Bruce turns back into
the Hulk and the two continue to fight. The Abomination starts to
talk about Betty and the look in her eyes when he killed her. The
Hulk lets loose and starts to really beat the Abomination. In the
sky above, agents try to get a line on the Hulk to shoot him. Before
they can do that, the Hulk lifts the limp body of the Abomination
and throws it into the sky through the helicopter.
