Powers/Abilities: Zzzax can fire powerful electrical blasts. Zzzax
needs to keep absorbing brain energies to grow his intelligence and
does this by converting bodies into electrical energy and absorbing
it.

Origin: A group of terrorists sneak into an electric plant and throw
bombs near the generators. The dynamos explode and starts a chain
reaction in the atomic chamber. A new type of fusion takes place and
multiple balls of energy start to form and expand. The balls absorb
three men and the electric energy that resides in the human brain
allows the energy to take shape.
GREAT MOMENTS IN HISTORY
The Incredible Hulk #166: A group of terrorists sneak into
an electric plant and throw bombs near the generators. The dynamos
explode and starts a chain reaction in the atomic chamber. A new type
of fusion takes place and multiple balls of energy start to form and
expand. The balls absorb three men and the electric energy that resides
in the human brain allows the energy to take shape. The form calls
itself Zzzax and says that it needs more energy from brains so that
it can continue to think. Bruce, seeing a crowd of people running
from Zzzax, runs down an alley but Zzzax shoots him with a bolt of
electricity and knocks him out so that he can feed on Bruce's brain.
Before Zzzax can reach Bruce, Hawkeye from the Avenger, arrives and
distracts the creature. Bruce regains consciousness and turns into
the Hulk. The Hulk attacks Zzzax and also Hawkeye, who tries to trap
the Hulk. Zzzax fires an electrical bolt at the Hulk and then walks
away, wanting to kill people, not fight. The Hulk follows Zzzax and
keeps attacking him. Hawkeye follows also and fires an electrical
fire retardent at Zzzax. The foam coats him and slows him down but
doesn't destroy him. The Hulk attacks him while he is slow but is
not successful. Zzzax grabs Hawkeye and throws him into the water.
Hawkeye figures out that Zzzax is a self-contained electrical source,
so he shots an arrow through him with a cable attached to it and he
creates a circuit in the water, dissipating Zzzax.
The Incredible Hulk #183: A group of scientists called Soulstar
design and build a machine capable of collecting and recording the
long scattered electrical brain waves of any give person in history.
The two male scientists are both in love with the woman scientist.
Bruce, working at as a janitor at the laboratory, stumbles across
the scientists working late at night and helps them with their equipment.
They turn on the equipment and after collecting some electrical waves,
the machine explodes and Zzzax appeared. The machine had collected
the dissipated thought patterns of Zzzax. Zzzax goes after the fazed
girl but one of the scientists jumps in and manages to save her but
unfortunately Zzzax grabs him and kills him, absorbing his brain energy.
His last thoughts are of the woman. Bruce turns into the Hulk, who
attacks Zzzax. Zzzax hits the Hulk away and with his mind influenced
by the scientist he just absorbed, Zzzax graps the woman and leaves
with her, saying that he loves her. Zzzax climbs a building with the
girl, so that he can be alone with her. The Hulk follows and the two
fight atop the building during a storm. The other scientist takes
a helicopter and flies near the building. He fires a spear with a
cable attached to it through Zzzax and then takes the helicopter into
the heart of the storm. A lightning bolt hits the helicopter and destroys
both it and Zzzax.
The Incredible Hulk #285: The now intelligent Hulk
builds a laboratory to work in and Tony Stark donates a power core
for him to use. During the installation, Bruce talks with the workers
and one of them mentions that Tony didn't design the power core but
bought it from a defunct research group called Soulstar. Bruce recognizes
the name and tells them not to hook the power core up but it's too
late as a worker connects the cables and the core explodes and Zzzax
gets free. Bruce wills the change to the Hulk and jumps at ZZzax,
who recognizes the Hulk. The two fight and Zzzax zaps the Hulk and
throws him aside so that he can go absorb the workers' life essences.
The Hulk grabs some cables connected to the power core and jumps through
Zzzax, making him part of the circuit. The Hulk connects the power
core and reverses the core, causing Zzzax to be sent back out into
space.
The Incredible Hulk #325: At Gammabase, SHIELD soldiers bring
in Zzzax, who is being held captive in an insulated vacuum tube. They
transfer himto a specially prepared chamber for use later.
The Incredible Hulk #326: General Ross is hooked up to the
same equipment where Zzzax is being stored by SHIELD personnel at
Gamma Base. One of the SHIELD soldiers says that the readings for
Zzzax are too strong. The plan is to infuse Ross with a portion of
Zzzax's living electricity. They keep shocking Ross with more and
more of Zzzax's electricity to "power" him up. Clay Quartermain, who
is in charge of the experiment, decides to go one little extra bit
more. That's the moment that Zzzax was waiting for as he surged and
absorbed part of Ross's mind. Zzzax escapes from the equipment and
Ross's mind, as strong-willed as it was, takes over control of Zzzax's
body. Without even realizing what he had turned into, escapes and
goes searching for the Hulk. Searching the desert, the Zzzax-Ross
creature finds tracks left by the Hulk and starts following them.
He finally stumbles upon the Grey Hulk
fighting the Rick Jones-Hulk. He knocks the Hulk out and says he will
kill both of them.
The Incredible Hulk #327: Zzzax-Ross confronts the Rick Jones-Hulk
and unconscious Bruce Banner. Zzzax-Ross, still unsure at what he
has become or who he was facing, thought of only killing the Hulk
and attacks the RJ-Hulk. Bruce, who had woken and overheard what Zzzax-Ross
was saying, confronts him and tries to confuse him. Zzzax-Ross just
gets angry and starts attacking the RJ-Hulk and knocks him into a
small lake. As Zzzax-Ross flies down towards the RJ-Hulk, Bruce yells
to splash water on him and thre RJ-Hulk does, causing a huge flash
as Zzzax-Ross disintegrates. The RJ-Hulk grabs Bruce and jumps away
not knowing that the Zzzax-Ross creature had reformed. Just as the
RJ-Hulk and Bruce are leaping down into a town, Zzzax-Ross sneaks
up behind them and zaps them in the air. The fight between Zzzax-Ross
and the RJ-Hulk causes fires in the buildings in the town and the
RJ-Hulk helps put them out, at Bruce's request. Then, the Zzzax part
of the mind starts to gain a little more control as the creature enters
the RJ-Hulk's body and takes control of it. It causes the RJ-Hulk
to start hurting himself. As the sun starts to come up and the RJ-Hulk
starts to revert back to Rick Jones, the Zzzax creature feels the
effect and is forced to leave the body. After getting out, Zzzax's
mind starts to gain more control and to keep control, he figures he
needs to absorb more brains. Zzzax-Ross comes across some people and
says he is going to kill them. A child screams and calls him a monster.
Being called a monster snaps Ross back in control and Bruce steps
out and asks Ross if he knows what he has become. Bruce shows Zzzax-Ross
what he looks like in the mirror and Zzzax-Ross can't believe what
he sees. Zzzax-Ross can't believe he has become a monster and flies
off, not being able to cope with it.
Cable #59: A SHIELD soldier retrives the old vacuum tub used
to house Zzzax from the Ross experiments. He finds a slight psionic
trace of Zzzax and uses a large electomagnetic field to bring ZZzax
back to life to draw Cable out in the open. Zzzax comes alive in the
middle of Hell's kitchen and starts tearing everything up. Cable comes
to try to stop him and Zzzax's electrical blast cause Cable to lose
slight control of the virus in his body. Cable is thrown into a puddle
of water and seeing a waterline, grabs the waterline and aims it full
blast at Zzzax. The water causes Zzzas to short and disintergrate.
